Who or what is its-our.party?

So to answer all these questions: no. I am a leftist, that is to be said, but I strongly believe in democracy. Let me just put a point to you. The leadership of Your Party have appointed themselves and are advocating we have a random selection of delegates even though many of us have created strong and enviable democratic groups within the party which are responsive to, and part of their communities. Yet, the MPs and other leaders who have had (according to rumour) over 8 factions within the party, and who have excluded people and had clear divisions -- these people appointed themselves and have given NO COMMUNICATION more or less to all of us. This is absurd -- I'm here making sure you have access to the information that they refuse to hand out. This is a poor showing of democracy. People with power should be able to explain why they have that power. I am asking no more than what Tony Benn asked when he said - why do you have power, for whom do you exercise it, and all the other questions. That's why that section exists in the website.

Hello! I'm Jordan, I work as a software architect in my day job, and I work with tech in politics a lot. I run this site on my own as a service to the members of Your Party as the information and organisation of the self-appointed leaders has been lacking. I am also a part of the steering committee of the Stockport Socialists For Your Party, a Your Party group in Stockport, Manchester, UK.

I made this site so that people could (A) Search for their local branch, (B) Get clear information about the party in lieu of any communication from the self-appointed leaders and (C) Provide help for people wanting to get involved with the party or branches including news! This site was made specifically so that branches can update their own information and to give them the ability to bolster their own democracy. No conspiracy here -- I believe the voice of the working people is the fundamental requirement of democracy. Not factions and petty squabbles.

23 September 2025 - I made this site as quickly as I could so I would get fewer questions about 'Is there a branch in...' from people I have spoken to online. Also I have skills and I like to use them to help others. Why not join me?

This site is located in GitLab here: https://gitlab.com/its-our-party/its-our-party-sit. Anyone can update this site and add their own news if they wish! They can also change whatever is on the site :) That's the entire point of this site. It's run by us, not some top-down self-appointed peeps.
